Copper pipe off-cuts remaining after domestic plumbing works presents an opportunity to make something precious from waste. The pipe shape, the thickness of the copper and the constraints this presents adds to the fun of seeing what can be produced.  I've made rustic hoops by using the pipes pretty much as they are, but often I have cut open the pipe and hammered the copper flat to create a sheet of metal which is more versatile to use.
